A flagship secondary school for Northern Ireland

In September of this year, St Ronan’s College officially opened its brand new £58 million campus in Lurgan. Delivered by Glasgiven Contracts, the purpose-built campus combines the college’s three previous locations into one state-of-the-art facility, accommodating 1,750 pupils.

A range of Metal Technology’s architectural glazing products were fabricated and installed in the flagship project by D & K Architectural Systems. The new 20,000 sqm college features inspiring classrooms and specialist learning spaces, a dedicated sixth-form centre, a double-height dining hall, and extensive sports and community amenities.

Building a Sustainable Future: Celebrating Collaboration at #UKPHC25

We’ve had a fantastic few days at this year’s UK & Ireland Passivhaus Conference!

A huge thank you to everyone who visited us yesterday at the ICC Belfast – Tony Rosbotham and Connor Corry were on hand to showcase our Passive House Institute-certified aluminium glazing solutions.

It’s been an inspiring event highlighting the growing momentum of Passive House in large-scale construction, including an insightful site tour of Weavers’ Hall with GRAHAM Building – a major 459-unit Passive House student accommodation project which will feature Metal Technology Ltd’s Passive House Windows, Doors and Curtain Walling systems.

It was great to connect with everyone and we’re very proud to have supported the conference as a Silver Sponsor, especially as Metal Technology approaches its 40th anniversary later this year. Here’s to the continued growth of Passive House and the innovation driving a more sustainable built environment.
