A range of Metal Technology’s architectural glazing products were installed by approved fabricator Avtek Ltd in East Calder Primary – a new, triangular-shaped primary school. The eye-catching form creates an exciting environment that celebrates the joy of learning.

 Metal Technology continue to lead the way in Passive House education, with our Passive House products being installed in a significant number of innovative and sustainable new education facilities. We’re delighted to see the completion of one of our latest Passive House projects – Montgomerie Park Primary School in Irvine, Scotland. 

Our Passive House certified glazing systems were expertly installed by fabricator Avtek Ltd, to help meet the development’s rigorous energy efficiency standards. The new £21m school accommodates 342 pupils, providing the highest levels of thermal comfort and healthy indoor air conditions.

One Monday in November, we escaped the office with a trip to Prison Island in Belfast! Our staff were split into small teams and had to work together to navigate through 31 different rooms which tested their physical, mental and teamwork skills – there was great rivalry between the teams with first position changing numerous times throughout the afternoon!

The winning team was eventually declared and this year’s honours went to Richard Rutherford, Dennis Corry & David McAleese. The whole day was a great success and congratulations to the winners!
