Shaping student living at University of York’s £130m “Campus of the Future”
Metal Technology are delighted to be involved in this significant 1,480-bed student accommodation project for the University of York, designed by Sheppard Robson architects and delivered by Graham Construction. The ongoing £130 million flagship scheme will transform the Heslington East Campus. Metal Technology have supplied their 535Hi+ Tilt and Turn window suite from its range of architectural glazing products to help create this fantastic “Campus of the Future”, which is being fabricated and installed by APiC UK .
York’s unique heritage has been a core consideration in the planning and design of this development, with the accommodation maximising views of the lake and surrounding parkland. Embracing Modern Methods of Construction, the development will include pre-fabricated sandwich panels, integrating external brick finish with Metal Technology’s windows, which included the development of a bespoke extrusion.
