Metal Technology delivers full-height glazing for purpose-built office scheme at Booths Park

This 70,000 sq ft, two-storey office development in Knutsford features two wings joined by a central area, with bronze and timber cladding. Collaboration was key in creating the building’s striking flush glass façade. Working closely with Calderpeel Architects, GMI Construction Group PLC and Crown Doors and Shutters Limited, we supplied our System 17 capped and System 17 SP curtain walling, with bespoke System 22 8m vertical brise soleil fins. As evidenced by this project, Metal Technology Ltd’s System 17 offers limitless flexibility in design applications, while also providing structural integrity, weather performance, thermal enhancement and security.

Each of the building’s wings is divided into four suites of roughly 6,800 sq ft each. There will also be 197 car parking spaces, accessed via Booth Park’s central road, while arrival gardens and a plaza are proposed to the front of the building.

The building is the new home for Portswigger Web Security, which currently employs 50 staff but is looking to expand to 400 over the next three years. Falling within the high value knowledge based IT sector, the company aligns with client Bruntwood’s growth aspirations and ‘Live Work Play’ vision for Booths Park, which is geared to become an exceptional workplace environment and also incorporate a residential development in a joint venture with Hillcrest.
