Metal Technology at ZEB Summit 2026

Metal Technology’s Connor Corry (Senior Technical Support and certified Passivhaus Consultant), and Tony Rosbotham (Specification Manager and certified Passivhaus Designer), had a great day at ZEB Summit at the RDS Dublin, which brought together architects, engineers, developers, contractors, manufacturers and industry professionals from across Ireland, the UK and beyond, all focused on the challenges and opportunities around delivering zero-emission buildings.

With over 60 leading voices from Ireland and across Europe, including the founder of the Passive House Institute, Professor Wolfgang Feist, the conference was packed with the knowledge and practical solutions needed to accelerate the transition to zero-emission buildings.

It was fantastic to showcase our range of high-performance aluminium systems, including our Passive House aluminium systems, which are certified by the Passive House Institute as Passivhaus Certified Components. Alongside our System 4-45 Hi+ Casement Window – the UK and Ireland’s first aluminium Passive House certified casement window system – we had our System 5-45 Hi+ Tilt and Turn Window, System 17 Hi+ Curtain Walling and System 5-35D Hi+ High Performance Door on display.

The team had plenty of interesting conversations around building performance, thermal efficiency, product selection and the role high-performance glazing can play in delivering better-performing buildings. A particular highlight was seeing the practical and interactive approach throughout the event, with live demonstrations, workshops, case studies and plenty of opportunities to share knowledge and ideas. A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand and to the ZEB Summit team for putting together such a valuable event.
