Creating modern, inclusive learning environments

Metal Technology Ltd were proud to take part in the very first Learning Environments Northern Ireland event last week, held in the iconic Titanic Belfast. The conference theme, “Creating Modern, Inclusive Learning Environments for Every Child and Young Person”, set the tone for a very inspiring day.

The event was opened by Paul Givan MLA, Minister for the Department of Education, and brought together senior members of the Department, project architects, consultant engineers, and educators – all united by a shared goal of enhancing learning spaces across Northern Ireland. Key topics included: early years and special educational needs provision, sports and outdoor learning environments, modern methods of construction, sustainability and the green agenda.

Our own Tony Rosbotham and Connor Corry showcased Metal Technology’s Passive House range, highlighting our expertise in delivering high-performance glazing solutions for the education sector.

The Strule Shared Education Campus was showcased as a flagship scheme with six schools being accommodated in the one location in Omagh. Metal Technology are key providers in assisting in the design and delivery of the façade glazing on all Education Authority refurbishment, upgrade, and new build schemes in Northern Ireland.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us and for the insightful conversations! We had a fantastic day, rounded off perfectly with a Gala Dinner held next door at the beautiful Titanic Hotel.
