System 17 High Rise at Together HQ

Metal Technology’s architectural aluminium systems have been specified for the new linking façade at Together’s headquarters in Cheadle, as part of an £8 million upgrade of the specialist lender’s Greater Manchester offices.

The works connect two existing office buildings with a continuous, contemporary façade. More than 800m² of Metal Technology’s System 17 High Rise Curtain Walling, incorporating concealed vents, forms the new elevation, combining high-performance solar control glazing with aluminium spandrel panels. System 10-35 Hi+ Thermally Broken Anti-Finger Trap Commercial Doors complete the Metal Technology package, providing robust, thermally enhanced entrances suited to a busy workplace.

The curtain walling creates a clear architectural link between the existing buildings while delivering the weather performance and clean lines associated with System 17. The anti-finger-trap doors are designed for high-traffic commercial use, with the Hi+ thermal inserts improving on the performance of the standard system.

The glazing package was fabricated and installed by approved fabricator CSA Systems, appointed by main contractor Barnfield Construction Ltd. CSA Systems coordinated design, manufacture and installation with the project design team, including C4 Projects Ltd and 5plus architects. The wider refurbishment, for a UK specialist property lender employing more than 850 people across Stockport and Greater Manchester, includes a new reception and improved staff facilities.
