Delivering Passivhaus at Scale: Perth High School
Delivered by Robertson Construction for Perth & Kinross Council, the new £80 million Perth High School is one of Scotland’s largest Passivhaus-certified schools. Designed by NORR architects, the three-storey building provides a modern, low-energy learning environment for up to 1,600 pupils.
Metal Technology’s high-performance Passive House systems play a key role in the school’s Fabric First approach. The project features System 17 Hi+ Curtain Walling, System 5-45 Hi+ Tilt & Turn Windows and System 5-35D Hi+ Doors, expertly installed by Avtek. These systems deliver exceptional thermal performance and airtightness, supporting the building’s ambitious energy targets while flooding teaching and social spaces with natural light.
